I find it difficult to make an object out of context. Inspiration hits when I enter an occupiable space. From that point the creative process begins; collecting objects and studying aesthetics transforms into broad concepts and personal discoveries, coalescing into a physical vignette that is often unpractically and theatrically functional.

Once in the space the creative process is frozen. It affords a moment of reflection, considering the gestures that have just been made, and generating valuable perspective. Then the quest for the next occupiable space begins.

Ideas often explored include; material culture, museum as institution, artist as anthropologist, memory and narrative.
