Maggie Sasso explores narrative through the lens of performance, sculpture, and textiles .

“Matrilineal investigates the lonely and uncanny experience I had in my daughter's first year of life. In a desperate attempt to remember an epiphany, I formed a symbol; three chalices stacked upon one another as an ever advancing arrow. It took time to realize this symbol was remarkably similar to the Enlistment Rankings proudly displayed on the shoulders of Naval uniforms; it felt as though I had become a member in the sisterhood of motherhood.”
