The Milwaukee Tool Marketing department contacted Maggie Sasso Studios in January of 2022 with a tall order. Make a giant knee pad chair in just 3 weeks! We accepted and raced to the finish line! This beauty, made from bending plywood, upholstery foam, worbla, vinyl, steel, upholstery fabric, neoprene, elastic and rope, has been making its way around the country at various marketing events.

BA Harrington is the 2021 recipient of the Center for Craft’s inaugural Craft Research Fund Artist Fellowship. Each year this substantial mid-career grant is awarded to two artists who are revising, reclaiming, and advancing the history of craft through their work. BA commissioned a cohort of artists to make components of her work using grant funds. Maggie Sasso Studios designed and wove a green inkle band for the piece Coming Out for the exhibition Suite Américaine. Read more about the exhibit.
